Back When Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth Shared Endless Giggles on Her First Royal Solo Outing

The late Queen Elizabeth II and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, might not have had the best of family ties between themselves, but there was once a connection. Before all the trenchant controversies that followed, including topics like racism and cultural differences, Meghan Markle was almost there winning the hearts of the Sovereigns. Back in the day when Markle was in her nascent stage of getting accustomed to the royal family, the Queen, and the Duchess went for a royal solo trip to Chester.

A month following her marriage to Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth were seen in the same frame on their first royal outing with each other. Since the Duke was engaged in his other work commitments, only the Queen and the newest member of the royal family showed up to meet the eager fans in Chester.

The Queen donned a beautiful shade of green from her classic coat collections for the event. As reported by Vanity Fair, it was from the grand royal collection of coats by Stuart Parvin. The traditional hat was reportedly from Rachel Trevor Morgan, one of the Queen’s favorite preferences of all time. Meghan Markle, on the other hand, kept her monotonous dull shade intact while wearing a beige-colored dress by Givenchy.

How did Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth spend the day? 

As the royal walkabout proceeded, the Duchess walked one step behind the Queen adhering to the protocol. Although body language experts analyzed that she was a bit nervous in the beginning, Nonetheless, the pictures and the video segments gave a clear impression that both the royal women, even if years apart, were having a great time together.

The royal duo first shook hands with David Briggs, the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire. Following the meet, the Duchess and the Queen headed for the Mersey Gateway Bridge where they posed for the paparazzi going all smiles. It was reported that Meghan was personally invited by the Queen. Palace aids say that the solo trip was intended to show Meghan “the breadth of work the royal family carries out.
