The Supernatural Vampire series was based on the book Vampire Diaries by L.J. smith. Owning to its success, the series gave out 8 seasons from 2011-2017. Netflix struck a deal for all 8 seasons with the show’s original network The CW Network, in the year 2011 and even extended the deal in 2016. The series-winning plotline revolves around two Salvatore brothers Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) who are centuries-old vampires living. Both, with stark opposite personalities, fall in love with the same girl, Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), and vow to protect her while Stefan also brings back old lady love Katherine Price (also played by Dobrev).
