Sex Education is arguably one of the most successful shows Netflix ever produced. Ever since the show premiered back in 2019, it has been a massive hit among fans. After delivering three hit seasons, the streamer is all set to return with its fourth and final installment. The hilariously provocative and informative coming-of-age series will conclude after an incredible five-year run. While the fans are highly upset about the conclusion, there seems to be an interesting reason the creators chose to end the show.

As the first episode of the season graced the screens, creator Laurie Nunn shed some light on season 4 of the show.

Laurie Nunn recently sat down with Netflix Tudum, where she had a few things to say about the upcoming season of the Netflix drama. Since the story would reach its end following season 4, fans are curious to know why the super hit show would not continue further. However, this was not the case when they first started the scripting for season 4. Nunn revealed that it was “during the process” that she realized that the stories were reaching their end.

She added that she felt that the characters had reached a particular place, and ending the show was the best thing to do. Nunn concluded, “I felt happy for them, and I felt like I’ve said everything that I want to say with these characters at this time.” Fans can surely expect adventure in season 4 of the show as the story progresses from Moordale Secondary to the fancy Cavendish College.

The last season of Laurie Nunn’s teen comedy recently hit the small screens a few hours ago. While the fan-favorite characters returned to the screens, a fresh batch of new faces also debuted on-screen. Some of the new characters in season 4 include Anthony Lexa, Felix Mufti, and Alexandra James. Apparently, the trio will play the famous crew called the Coven from Cavendish College.

There is another exciting addition to the crew. Otis’s mother will face competition in the show’s final season by the name of O played by Thaddea Graham. The fans will also witness George Robinson play Isaac, an art student in the series. While the series coming to an end is surely disappointing, there is another exciting project the fans can connect with.
