The 20-year-old star is of Mexican-Puerto Rican descent and the fourth child in a family of six children. On the other hand, Asia Ortega is a descendant of an Argentinian father and a Spanish mother.

“It’s something that I’m very proud of. I grew up in a community [Coachella Valley, California] surrounded by all kinds of Hispanics,” explained Ortega. She continued that representing one’s heritage and culture in their work is a thing of self-esteem or self-respect. Just like she renowned the teen Wednesday Addams, who is a Latina character.
