Stranger Things is the perfect blend of teen love and adult dynamics. But these couples are not just a mere result of liking, but have forged through time that tested their chemistry, love, and trust for one another.

Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers

Hopper and Byers are undeniably the best adult coupling in the horror drama. Though season 4 put their romantic feelings upfront, the spark has been there for a long time. Their constant support for each other and emotional depth got them a special place in devoted fans’ hearts. The duo has been a pillar and roof of security for the young cast as they protected them and saved them from every storm that Upside Down sent into their world. Or maybe facing these dangers together is what bloomed their bond, making it stronger and more reliable.

For instance, when all the characters lost their hopes for the police chief, Joyce still believed he was alive somewhere. So when she received a coded parcel from Russia, she did not think twice about getting him back home. The reunion of the couple in the penultimate season was certainly one of the most heartwarming scenes. And hopefully, fans would get to see more such glimpses in the last season of the show.

Mike Wheeler and Eleven

Unsurprisingly, the next couple that comes in line are Mike and El, who have been an integral part of the show. From the debut season of the sci-fi drama, these two took the spotlight. The Wheeler boy was the one who found this buzzed hair supernatural girl, paving the whole storyline for the following seasons. Starting from a childish likeness to being obsessive to understanding the depth of their relationship, they have come a long way.

From season 3, both of them started to realize that they could still love each other even after being apart. And then season 4 actually put them in a similar situation, testing their bond to the very end. However, they came out victorious when Mike gave Eleven the strength to fight Vecna, assuring her that he will always be around and love her. The credit for this remarkable chemistry goes to Finn Wolfhard and Millie Bobby Brown, who breathed life into these characters.

Dustin Henderson and Suzie

If there is any award for the most geeky and smart couple in the world, it would certainly go to Dustin and Suzie. In season 3, this arc started when Dustin returned from summer camp and could not stop gushing about this intelligent girl. Though his friends did not believe him that any such girl existed, Dustybun did prove them all wrong. Suzie was not only super brilliant but so cute, which made fans instantly fall in love with her.

The duo played a pivotal role in the finale of season 3 when Suzie’s knowledge helped them to close the gate. Not to forget, she also traced the location of Eleven in the empty desert with a single code only. Since both of them had a lot in common, their relationship became more enchanting for viewers. It would be great if Dustin and Suzie got together in season 5 instead of talking on satellite phones only.

Chrissy and Eddie

Season 4 introduced many new characters in the show, including Chrissy and Eddie, who instantly became fan-favorite. Though technically these two were not a couple, fans wanted more interaction between them before they died. In their brief interaction, viewers got to know that the pair studied together when they were young. Their different backgrounds, where one was popular while the other was an outcast, made quite an intriguing storyline for them.

All the keen-eyed fans saw potential in them as a couple which could have been equally epic as Mike and El. Even the show creators wished they had shown more of Eddie and Chrissy’s relationship. Well, no matter if they could not get to that part of their lives, both characters have left an everlasting impression on viewers.

Nancy and Jonathan are a couple who have grown closer, starting as friends in high school. Their journey of facing daunting challenges and braving dangerous situations together captivated the attention of fans throughout the series. Though there are many who want Nancy to get back together with Steve, she clearly has a profound connection with Jonathan. Or we can say season 1 baddie ruined his chance in the first place and nothing can rekindle their romance.

Their fandom has been wanting to watch their love thrive after all the things they have gone through. Especially in season 4, their romance got shoved because Jonathan had to move, leaving his beau behind. Season 5 will finally tell fans more about where these two take their relationship.
