Archewell by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Outshines Obama Foundations of $5.5M Generating a Whopping $13.5M in the First Year
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle have achieved quite a number of milestones after having renounced their UK Sovereigns. And their self-made Archewell Foundation has laid the foundation of every big and small philanthropic activity taken up by the estranged Royals.
The organization which started off as a non-profit organization has now strived to overtake other giants with world-renowned personalities ranging from the former US president, President Obama to Hillary Clinton. The Sussex foundation recently launched its impact report for the year 2022, and the highlights of the same were enough to convince people’s hearts.

As reported by the foundation on its official website, Archewell in its first full year of operation has generated a whopping amount of $13,005,600 incredible revenue. The expense rate was proportionately in balance, standing at a mark of $3,987,070. As brought to our notice by Hello Magazine, the same generated revenue by the Sussexes has broken all records overtaking President Obama’s Obama Foundation.
During their initial years, the Obamas managed to build up an amount of $5.5 Million while spending $1.9 million. For Clinton’s part, their organization managed to raise $10 million in their first year of operation. To this date, these two organizations by America’s well-known personalities were the greatest non-profit charitable organizations so far. However, it is now evident there is a greater oak at play in the States.

Archewell did not just gather funds for the organization. It has, in fact, awarded an amount of $3,096,319 in grants to over 40 different organizations already. They are primarily focused on philanthropic activities that the Sussexes have long been pioneers of. The same includes like programs like vaccine equity, relief centers, refugee rehabilitation,

Later in the statistics, the Foundation also reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also funded $520,826 into campaigns and side programs that boost vaccination and conservation. Speaking of expenses, the foundation strictly adheres to a 90:10 program service-to-administration cost ratio. It ensures that 80% of the total expenses are invested in their projects. The rest 20 goes into administrative sustainability.
