Another Setback for Meghan Markle? Archewell President Mandana Dayani Quits Company Prior to Docuseries’ Release
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s most-anticipated Netflix docuseries is just a couple of days away from its premiere. The six-episode series titled Harry & Meghan is likely to be one of the most controversial television projects as it will speak in depth about the royal family of Britain. With the launch of the documentary, a lot is at stake for the Duke and Duchess, including the royal titles for their children Archie and Lilibet.

However, ahead of the mega release, the Sussexes have been hit with a massive blow. Archewell’s chairwoman Mandana Dayani has handed her resignation to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The firm has confirmed that Dayani will no longer be associated with the Sussex royals’ charitable foundation and the media company.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to run Archewell together
Mandana Dayani joined Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the first Chief Operating Officer on Archewell in September last year. Considered the right-hand woman of the Sussexes, the Iran-born activist was crucial for the company because of her connections in the US media. However, it is believed that there is no bad blood between Dayani and the Duke and Duchess. The resignation was mutual as the royal couple has now decided to lead the company together.

As per Archewell’s official statement, there will be no replacement for the Iran-born. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were on paternity leave last year and thus needed someone like Mandana Dayani to supervise their firm. The statement by the couple’s press secretary Ashley Hansen read, “Dayani has been an integral part of Archewell and we are grateful for her passion, commitment, and leadership. Their transition was mutually planned, with the intention that the Duke and Duchess would now assume full leadership of their company.”
Interestingly, since the inception of Archwell, a total of 13 senior officials, including Mandana Dayani, have called it quits. Earlier this year, Toya Holness made headlines by resigning as Archwell’s press secretary. Moreover, the company’s chief director Catherine St-Laurent said goodbye in less than one year of her appointment.
