The earth completes one rotation on its axis and a new Prince Harry and Meghan Markle controversy arises out of the horizon. Ever since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave up their UK Sovereigns and shifted abroad for a more ‘private life’, it had always been them against the entire world. And just when things couldn’t get any worse, the self-exiled couple launched a full-scale bombshell on the royal family. Not only the Sovereigns, but everyone who contributed to their ill-treatment during their time in the United Kingdom took the hits firsthand. 

This is where their other adversaries like Meghan Markle’s own sister, Samantha Markle, and famous personalities like YouTube Star Shallon Lester enter the scene. The six-part docuseries, Harry & Meghan, shed light on every controversy and backlash that gripped the couple during their initial years. The same also laid bare the heated tensions between their estranged family members and controversial friends. The documentary exposed how the YouTuber was also one of their innumerable counterparts who took active participation in an online hate campaign against the couple. 

Shallon Lester Accuses Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over defamation 

Half a year following the docuseries, Lester has now decided to sue the couple in a case of defamation targeting her exposure in the Netflix bombshell. Criticizing Markle’s work ethic, she labeled the Duchess as “a reality TV show game show briefcase girl.” Lester further called her out on the rising tensions between talent agencies like UTA and highlighted the unhappy split with the Swedish giant Spotify. 

“It’s defamation, it’s slander, it’s a mischaracterization,” affirmed Shallon Lester while regarding her feature in the document. The YouTuber seemed headstrong in suing the couple in her latest statement, as reported by New York Times. “I’m pursuing every opportunity to nail their a** to the wall for this,” said Lester, to an audience of 346,000 on her platform. It is also pertinent to note that it’s not the first lawsuit the couple is facing post the Netflix bombshell release. 

Insight into the Samantha Markle lawsuit against the Sussexes

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle faced the first legal case when Markle’s half-cousin moved to the high court. The estranged sister filed a defamation case against the Duchess, claiming otherwise of the allegations against her. After a much-heated back-and-forth, the case finally ended up in Meghan Markle’s favor. However, the couple was not spared of the tight scrutiny and heavy indignation that came along with the family lawsuit. 

The documentary disclosed how Samantha Markle had always been against the couple, although Markle was one of her own. The Duchess’ own niece, daughter of Samantha Markle, testified against her mother. Ashleigh Hale. laid bare how the hatred that keeps on brewing against the Duchess.
