Another Harry and Meghan Project In Making! Netflix Green Lights A Nelson Mandela-inspired Series

The world has hardly recovered from Netflix’s bombshell docuseries, Harry & Meghan. However, it seems like the Sussex couple has something more in store for us. The severe backlash that seemed to obstruct the docuseries was all in vain. In fact, seeing the Duke and the Duchess thrive on a global scale as the British media melts down has been an early Christmas gift for the fans. Following the same, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have set another step afoot in the face of speculations about Netflix withdrawing from their multi-million deal.

The steamer has stayed true to its business ties. However, the upcoming series is not linked to any of the Sussexes personal life stories. Netflix took to Twitter a couple of hours ago to announce the Premiere of the newly launched series. Entitled, Live to Lead the series is said to be an inspiration sourced from the great South African anti-apartheid activist who in his era, served as the first president of the nation.

It is also to note that the series comes after Mandela’s family had their eyes rolling on the couple. His grandson reportedly slammed the Duchess in an interview with The Mail speaking over Meghan Markle and some of her controversial remarks regarding UK and South Africa customs. In fact, the official account of Mandela on Twitter took pride in announcing the commencement of the series. The official trailer of the awaited series has seemingly focused on people whose “actions save our world“. 

Reports also claim that the California-based couple will be the executive producer of the same. Manifesting the rumors, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also made an appearance in the short segment of the trailers itself. This makes it crystal clear that the two will be seen narrating the forthcoming Netflix project, soon. But what should we expect from the series and when?

What is Live To Lead all about?

As per the tweet, the series is all set to premiere a day before New Year, December 31st, 2022. The series will reportedly shed light on the works of Ruth Bader Ginsberg, the Late US Supreme Court Justice, Greta Thunberg, Gloria Steinem, and other world-renowned personalities who have contributed to making the earth a better place to live. In the two-minute-long preview, the Prince kicked off the narration by saying, “This was inspired by Nelson Mandela, who once said, ‘What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.‘ ”

The clip then straight away cuts to his wife, the Duchess who adds, “It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” Unveiling more about the same, the duo will soon be moving forward with their next work-in-progress just weeks after their bombshell docu-series hit the Streaming service.
