Henry Cavill and his co-star Anya Chalotra have had a long journey on The Witcher. While Cavill, who plays Geralt of Rivia, will soon part ways with the show, the latter has much waiting for her. Playing his romantic flame Yennefer of Vengerberg, we got some hints about her upcoming role in the trailer. At the end of season 2, we saw the tension between the two, but volume 1 of The Witcher 3 has given us all some hope. 

And since the chemistry of the two is great on screen, Geralt and Yennefer warm-up kept the fans excited about the developments. And this recent update makes it all the more exciting.

As much as volume 1 has left us excited, volume 2 only has much more in store. In the recent tweet by Redanian Intelligence, we see Yennefer and Geralt reunite in Brokilon before Geralt’s big quest. In the three sets of pictures, the two are sharing an intimate moment. The expectation of how we will see the family of three turn out is bubbling. Since the beginning of season 3, we have seen the two warming up to each other and forming a sort of a makeshift family of three, with Ciri. 

With the duo acting like two mentors, Ciri has been able to learn a lot from them too. While volume 1 gave hope to see their romance bud as a separate story from the family, this recent update exactly confirms that. 

And this journey for the two has been quite tumultuous. This has been their story together since season 1. 

The journey of their romance so far

The romantic relationship between Geralt and Yennefer was quite complicated. But the sorcerer has been in love with her since their encounter with the djinni. When Geralt made his last wish to save Yennefer from the Djinn, the flame between the two was ignited. Subsequently, the two fall out over Yennefer’s infertility and their disagreement on the subject of motherhood.

After they part ways, the Battle of Soddle leads Cavill to believe she is no longer alive. A very family-like dynamic ensues. This eases the tensions between the two and allows them to get used to each other.
