Under the assured direction of Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, the first installment received huge praise from viewers and critics. Thanks to its enchanting stories and remarkable animation, the film earned $494.9 million in 2010. From their first achievement, the franchise never turned and currently holds an empire of $525,000,000.

It focuses on a 15-year-old Hiccup who attempts to prove himself by killing a dragon. But with a change of heart, he decides to kill the creature and sets him free. Not to mention, the straightforward comedic style of the movie and bickering characters has only made people fall in love a little more.
