When the writers’ and actors’ strike is finding no solid ground with production houses, Netflix is pacing for the fall. Hollywood completed one month on Monday since the double strike started. Despite showcasing a strong front, none of the unions are getting the results they desired from this drive. The WGA responded to the latest proposal. However, the studio group did not agree to their demand for a minimum staff size for TV writers’ rooms.
With every day passing artists not getting back to work, the industry is facing huge losses. Therefore, to avoid such problems, the streaming giant has evidently found itself a secure shelter at Film Festivals.
Netflix has 13 movies in store for viewers around the globe

Film Festivals are coming back for their 2023 session to let fans slide into all the new projects that they will watch on screen. And Netflix will take a part in it too to present their new movies and shows globally. The report dropped by What’s On Netflix has revealed the locations where, when, and what will premiere. Here are the details of all the upcoming projects, from titles to event dates, all awaiting to land the American streamer.
Venice International Film Festival
This event will begin from August 30 to September 9 taking place in Venice, Italy.
El Conde / The Count revolves around a 250 old vampires who find life meaningless after living for over two centuries. So he decides to end his life, but what happens in the following moments will be revealed on 15 September.
Maestro, directed by Bradley Cooper, this film is based on the life history of Leonard Bernstein. It will arrive on the platform during the holiday season on December 20. The cast includes Carey Mulligan, Maya Hawke, Matt Bomer, Sarah Silverman, and Josh Hamilton.
Society of the Snow is a biopic that tells the story of a 1972 plane crash in the Andes that left a rugby team stranded. The release date of the movie has not been finalized, but it will come to Netflix this fall.
The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar is an adaptation of the short stories by Roald Dahl. Actors who have onboarded the project are Benedict Cumberbatch, Dev Patel, Ralph Fiennes, Richard Ayoade, and Sir Ben Kingsley.
The Killer put an assassin in the main frame who is fighting his employers. The graphic novel series written by Alexis Nolent has inspired this film. This thriller crime drama is ready for a worldwide release on the streamer on November 10.
May December will premiere in North America only, and Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman are headlining this film. The romance drama depicts the story of a married couple who starts to crumble when an actress arrives to investigate their past lives.
Toronto International Film Festival
This event will reportedly begin from September 7 to September 17 taking place in Toronto, Canada.
All the Light We Cannot See is directed by Shawn Levy and adapted into a mini-series. This show takes fans inside Anthony Doerr’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel set in World War II.
Fair Play dives into the life of a young couple whose relationship faces the biggest challenges after an unexpected promotion. The movie stars Bridgerton‘s Phoebe Dynevor, Alden Ehrenreich, and Eddie Marsan.
Nyad is a biographical drama based on the life of swimmer Diana Nyad. It will be hitting the steamer on 3 November worldwide. The cast includes Annette Bening, Jodie Foster, Ethan Jones Romero, and Rhys Ifans.
Pain Hustlers follow a blue-collar woman who gets involved in a pharmaceutical start-up during the opioid crisis. The movie has a star-studded cast of Emily Blunt, Chris Evans, Catherine O’Hara, and Chloe Coleman.
Reptile is a mystery film that depicts the aftermath of the brutal murder of an estate agent. The movie is set for a worldwide release on Netflix on October 6.
Rustin is based on the life of a civil rights activist and African American leader, Bayard Rustin. The biography film will arrive on the streaming giant on 17 November starring Colman Domingo and Chris Rock.
Sly is a documentary about the life and career of the actor Sylvester Stallone. Thom Zimny has directed this project and will be coming this November.

Stamped From The Beginning is an adaptation of Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s best-selling book of the same name. The documentary is ready to make its way to the streamer this fall.
BFI International Film Festival
The Kitchen is a new British dystopian thriller movie that takes place in London in 2040. The film will premiere on October 15 at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.
