The Karate Kid films saw an underdog like Danial LaRusso becoming the champion of the All-Valley Tournament. Exactly the same thing happened with Miguel in the Netflix spin-off series, Cobra Kai. From coming out of nowhere to developing their own arcs, these characters proved to be powerful characters. However, in the spin-off series, there are some underrated characters who, if given more exposure, can work miracles.

In the previous season of the show, we saw Terry Silver getting arrested and John Kreese getting out of jail. Meanwhile, both Johnny and Danial also joined hands with each other to compete in Sekai Taikai. While there are already strong fighters in Eagle Fang and Miyagi Do, these lesser-known fighters can also secure victory in the international competition.

Due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes in Hollywood, the production of the final season of the show has been stopped. While the artists and writers are striking hard on the picket lines, these supporting characters in the show can still strike hard in Sekai Taikai.

Devon Lee

The favorite student of Sensei Kim, Devon Lee was Cobra Kai’s strongest female fighter. Because of the drama between Tory and Sam for the past 2 seasons, Lee’s development was sidelined. However, as we see Tory and Devon coming closer to each other, we can see Lee’s other side as well.

Although she has not interacted with many characters throughout her existence, she is certainly an enthusiastic and passionate girl. A powerful girl like Devon Lee can nicely channel her emotions and use them during the fight.

But as she switched sides after Terry Silver was exposed, fans hoped she would continue karate. So, if Devon Lee chooses to continue her journey with Torry in the Cobra Kai world, she certainly has the potential to kick her opponents in Sekai Taikai.

Demetri Alexopoulos

One of the most interesting and funny characters is none other than Demetri Alexopoulos. Demetri has had a love-hate relationship with karate. Started with Johnny, Demetri ends up training under Daniel LaRusso.

He even tried to give his best during the All-Valley Tournament. Therefore, along with his peers, Demetri can also come back with his polished skills. Moreover, he has Eli aka Hawk by his side. Both characters have the potential to perform best in Sekai Taikai.

Anthony LaRusso

All Valley Tournament champion, Daniel LaRusso’s son, Anthony showed interest in karate towards the end of the previous season. Despite having karate in his blood, Anthony never fought in the tournament. However, with the bigger challenge ahead in the final season, Anthony can finally fulfill his father’s dream.

Additionally, he has seen how karate helped his rival, Kenny, to gain confidence. And Anthony himself has seen his father fighting Terry Silver in the previous season. His development as a great fighter in Sekai Taikai can also enhance the legacy carried forward in the series.

Apart from these, characters like Mitch, Bert, and even Kenny can showcase their development in the final season.
