Just a year before the horror world found its next obsession in The Nun in 2018, Paco Plaza gave the world something even more horrifying. It follows the story of a teenage girl named Veronica who conducts a seance with her friends using an Ouija board during a solar eclipse which ultimately unfolds into a paranormal possession. The prequel of which, Sinister Death, as revealed by Netflix, will be released on the 27th of October.

In the first movie, Veronica puts everyone she loves into lethal danger because of a silly game. It follows a terrifying battle between the living and the dead, which earned over $6 million globally at the theaters. However, the prequel which will be releasing on Netflix, titled Sister Death, is diving into the origins of the first movie. Perhaps the root of the sinister souls that made Veronica’s life a living hell.
