One Piece is an enthralling success in every way. The show debuted with a whopping 94 percent critical score on Rotten Tomatoes. Further, the audience lapped the show enough that it sailed past the ranks held by Millie Bobby Brown’s Stranger Things as well as Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday. Now, the show has held its ground at number one on Netflix’s Top 10 charts for the third consecutive week. As per Netflix’s charts, the show has raked in more than 75 million hours in views as well as 10 million unique streams.

The show already created a sensation for itself when it brought in more than 18 million views in its first four days. Additionally, it is leagues ahead of its closest competitors on Netflix with only Virgin River’s Season 5 in its periphery. The record is a staggering achievement for a live-action adaptation and even more so for a manga-anime makeover. And it doesn’t seem like the show lose its winning pace anytime soon as it keeps pulling in new and old viewers alike.

Rather, Eiichiro Oda himself announced the news amidst much fanfare and even more excitement.

Luckily for One Piece fans who craved more content, the showmakers already have a six-season plan in mind! The second season of the show will probably take fans on the Arabasta arc and introduce the character of Vivi. Furthermore, since Eiichiro Oda is to stay in charge all the way for, expectedly, all the seasons to come, the future of the series as well as Netflix is in good hands.
