Amidst Millie Bobby Brown’s ‘Enola Holmes’ Hype, Netflix Possibly Making the Biggest Decision For Original Films
Netflix has been around for decades, but updated its resume in 2015 and added production company and distributor to it. Since then, the streamer created a myriad of content, but one franchise that instantly hooked people was Enola Holmes. The story about the younger sister of famous detective Sherlock Holmes entertained fans throughout. Both critics and viewers praised Millie Bobby Brown, Sam Clafin, and Henry Cavill for their incredible performances in the two movies.
With the Head of Netflix Film, Scott Stuber, announcing the third installment, the anticipation has only heightened. However, with that, the streamer is also looking forward to new production strategies for original films.

Variety recently reported on their conversation with Scott Stuber, head of Netflix’s film division. It revealed the company has been trying to transform its approach to film production. The platform will now probably focus on quality over quantity after establishing itself as a production house. “Right now, we’re not trying to hit a set number of film releases,” Stuber told the outlet.
According to the department chief, they will work on projects they believe in. The company wishes to offer only the best content to the audiences, be it romantic comedy, thriller, or drama. In the past years, Netflix gained a reputation as an endless source of content. So, to change that perception of people, the streaming giant will cut off the number of films they make every year.
Instead of 50 movies, their goal would be 25 to 30 movies, and aim to capture the essence perfectly of the storylines. While this is yet to happen, Stuber confirmed the return of the Enola Holmes franchise to active development.

Scott Stuber sat down with Collider at the grand reopening of the American Cinematheque at The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood. During this, he revealed Enola Holmes 3 has found its way to the writers’ room. The movie will bring back Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill playing not-so-estranged siblings this time. According to the report, it will bring in new prospects for Enola after she solves the case of Sarah Chapman and expresses her love to Tewksbury.
As for her older brother, he was seen having a new flatmate, Dr. John Watson played by Himesh Patel. Also, his famous opponent Moriarty, was seen fleeing police custody and on the loose. How these intertwined storylines will fall together is something only the third installment can answer. Owing to the renewal, it seems that Enola Holmes is considered as one of its best per Netflix which indeed makes us expect more from the flick.
