In their Netflix television series, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have stressed the challenges faced by the Duchess because of frequent press hounding. Markle revealed how she felt unsafe and under threat after her relationship with the royal prince went public. The former American actress narrated incidents of the paparazzi surrounding her in Toronto and disturbing her neighbors to know about her.

The intrusion of the press did not stop after marriage as well. The Duke and Duchess shared clips of being swarmed by the media during their time as working royals. Speaking on the show, Prince Harry mentioned that all the women marrying into the royal family go through the same treatment by the press. However, he believes that the situation was worse for Meghan Markle because of her race. Following the claims by the Duke, a video has gone viral that suggests that Kate Middleton was also brutally harassed by the photographers.

In a video shared by a Twitter handle, Kate Middleton can be seen being followed by the press. The photographers can also be heard abusing the Princess of Wales to get a reaction out of her. Explaining the situation, the royal Tina Bower said in the video, “As Kate walked through Paddington Station or an airport, barbaric photographers yelled ‘Bitch!’ ‘Whore!’ ‘Slag, look this way!’ to try to get a rise out of her just as they had with Diana.”

Further, the royal expert mentioned how Middleton received no official help from the Palace and Prince William to escape from the torture. Notably, the Twitter user also slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s show for projecting that the future Queen Consort had it easy with the media.

Meanwhile, in the docuseries, Prince Harry recalled the horrific days when his mother Princess Diana was exposed to the press following her divorce to then Prince Charles. The late Princess of Wales succumbed to brutal behavior by the media in the final days of her life.
