And now, amidst the hype created by this second-highest grosser of 2023, movie buffs have buckled up for yet another surprise.
Recently Netflix announced the premiere of the long-awaited drama that felt like it took an eternity. This fusion of tales, Once Upon a Crime, will surely take you on a nostalgic trip and fans are counting down the minutes to its release.

On 8th August, Netflix posted updates online about the release of the highly anticipated Japanese fairy-tale drama. Once Upon a Crime directed by Yuichi Fukuda will be premiered on September 14, 2023, with a twist in the tale. It is an adaptation of the novel “Little Red Riding Hood Meets a Corpse on Her Journey,” written by Aito Aoyagi. Netflix added a one-line synopsis of the movie as well, which was a legit head-turner for people who are not aware of the novel.
The synopsis read, “There’s been a murder and Little Red Riding Hood is determined to clear Cinderella’s name!” The outline brings an element of mystery to the traditional fantasy tales people grew up reading. As per the trailer, Little Red Riding Hood is putting the pieces together for a murder case in the world of Cinderella.
One thing is evident from the comment section the movie will undoubtedly receive a lot of fan engagement and can even be the next big thing post-Barbie.

It is no news that Barbie made new history in the cinematic world with its mature themes and powerful dialogues.
