Since SAG-AFTRA joined writers on the strike, the entertainment industry has shaken. This turned out to be a major hit for streamers like Netflix when actors left their projects amid. Now the double strike has led the streaming giant to push back movies set to release in the coming months reports What’s on Netflix. This includes the highly anticipated film Damsel, scheduled to hit the platform on October 13th, 2023.

The outlet got to know from their sources that the movie will now release in 2024. In this film, Millie Bobby Brown has taken the lead role of Princess Elodie who discovers the truth behind her marriage. In the past months, fans have got some glimpses of the young actress in her warrior avatar. From being a sacrifice to a fire-breathing dragon to facing him off fiercely, this movie will depict the transformation of a young woman.
Sadly, fans who already marked the release date will not be watching it anytime soon. Not just this movie but some other titles are also shifted to the next year.
Netflix postpone 4 movies besides Millie Bobby Brown’s project
Starring Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Joey King, A Family Affair was about to hit the streamer in November. However, Netflix told fans that the release date is under review and now it will not come until 2024. In place of this flick, George C. Wolfe’s Rustin has got a release window for November 17.

Next in line comes Life, which was originally going to arrive on the platform in August. But the TUDUM event informed that the Kevin Hart comedy will be available for streaming from January 12th, 2024. The third title on the list is Players starring beloved Lucifer star Tom Ellis and Gina Rodriguez.
Initially, this film was going to release in the fall of this year, which would not happen and Lucifans can only pray for early 2024. Last but not least, the new biopic on Shirley Chisholm was expected to arrive on the small screen in 2023. But due to bad screen test performance, the film has been delayed until 2024.
