The royal experts and family friends think that this might not be a good time for the show’s release because, following his coronation, King Charles III has just regained his popularity and the show will remind everyone of his darkest years.

For the unversed, King Charles III was unpopular in the 90s with his name involved in several controversies, including his adultery scandal. And royal experts who are of opinion that people consider the show to be factual feel the show’s impact would be unfavorable for the palace and the new king. Meanwhile, a friend of King stated that the series is “exploitative” and Netflix should consider people’s reputation. However, a representative from the streaming giant explained that the show wrapped shooting before the death of Queen Elizabeth. Thus, there no changes in the episodes, which will depict all the events that happened in the 1990s.
