“All I wanted was a bathing suit” – Meghan Markle Narrates an Embarrassing Anecdote of Walking Around Naked for a Korean Body Spa With Her Mother
Meghan Markle’s Spotify podcast was put to a temporary halt following the demise of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. The podcast was a massive hit as it trended number one for consecutive two weeks. Meghan Markle resumed her podcast on October 4 with an episode featuring journalist Lisa Ling and stand-up comedian Margaret Cho.
The episode immediately got into the headlines as the Duchess of Sussex candidly discussed the stereotypes surrounding Asian Women. The podcast also saw Meghan slamming the entertainment industry for using the Dragon Lady trope. Meghan Markle narrates an embarrassing childhood story
While describing her love for the Asian continent, Meghan Markle revealed how she spent her weekends in childhood in Little Tokyo or trying things with her parents at a local Chinese restaurant. The actress recalled doing a fun activity with her mother, Doria Ragland, in the form of a Korean body spa. Reminiscing about the memories, the Duchess said that she was uncomfortable at the beginning with the women aged from nine to 90 walking around her naked.
She was supposed to do the same, but it was a task for her, considering she was going through puberty. However, with time Markle got used to the whole idea and started loving the body spa while enjoying some delicious noodles.

“All I wanted was a bathing suit! But you are not allowed, by the way. And once I was over that adolescent embarrassment, my mum and I would go upstairs, sit in a room. And we would have a steaming bowl of the most delicious noodles,” Meghan revealed in her Spotify podcast Archetypes.
The episode is being received well by the listeners. The first three episodes of the podcast featured the likes of Serena Williams, Mindy Kaling, and Mariah Carey. Notably, during the official mourning period of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paused all their professional and personal commitments. Thus, the podcast made a comeback after almost a month.
