'Alice in Borderland' Season 3: Cast, Plot, Release Date, And Everything We Know About The Finale

Collectively released on December 22, 2022, the second season of the literal ride-or-die game-based thriller, Alice in Borderland, has the audience left hanging off a hypothetical cliff. The thriller series first gained popularity when it was released on Netflix on December 20, 2020, immediately gaining traction of viewers and has steadily become a staple on the streaming platform over the years.

How the manga-based show returns with a progressively thicker plot each time the story moves further, keeps the spectators desperately wanting more, but nothing more, than an appropriate delivery of it finale, all in due time (which might be closer than we think.)

Recently, and unexpectedly, announced via the streaming platform’s official Instagram and X account for Japan, the binge-essential Alice in Borderland is set to be coming back with the third and possibly its final season. But without a date as of yet. While the second season seemed to have caught up to most of the details in the manga by Haro Aso that it is based on, the audience has been left surprised and intrigued as to what turn the live-action adaptation of the story might be taking, since we had already seen Arisu and the survivors return home with their memories wiped out by the end of season 2.

Speculations for the plot seem to jump from Arisu either stepping back into the game or a revelation of a new game master. The show could also be dealing with the aftermath of the characters’ escape, and maybe a string of consequences resembling the games that they face as they try to uncover the secrets of the Borderlands, according to fans catching up on both Instagram and X. As in the previous season, Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will be reprising their roles as Arisu Ryohei and Usagi Yuzuha, other than whom, no new details about the cast have been confirmed.

While the series has made its mark on the world of aficionados, getting used to reading subtitles and by-hearting their sharp-syllabled names, the real ones would dig deeper to uncover the actual secret of the Borderlands.

Look no further, but further than the horizons of the Alice in Borderland of Netflix

As all things manga are, there is always room for more information that we could be let in on for the plot, or ways that we could see the very same characters in a new light. So serves the anime adaptation of the Alice in Borderland manga that was released before the show ever stepped onto Netflix that one could use to kill or fill your time with as you wait for the finale to hit the screens.
