The first three seasons of The Witcher had outdoor shoot locations spread across Hungary, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Croatia. Reading previous cues and guessing the settings for the fourth season, Redanian Intelligence curated a list of locations the crew will most likely resort to. The first hints point to the Crystal Grotto at Painshill Park in England, which features shimmering, bubbling water against a backdrop of rough rocks and crystals, allowing for the filming of memorable scenes, such as Liam Hemsworth’s Geralt making new connections.
For Emhyr’s palace or even for one in Redania, the Muslim Burial Ground in Horsell Common comes as the most probable of all options, especially for the design of its garden. Thereafter, Haytor Quarry and Haytor Rocks found a place as the perfect backdrop to feature scenes that have the characters horse-riding or for ones that require the sun setting on the horizon poignantly. Finally, Puzzlewood in England, famed for its lush greenery and maze-like appearance, may also serve as an introductory location.
The dynamics of the fourth season of The Witcher may also change as a new addition to the core stands set to take the helm.

The third season of The Witcher marked a series of disappointments for the streaming giant. Following Henry Cavill’s exit, the season finale made its way to become the lowest-rated episode of the show, dragging the entire season along with it. Furthermore, with lore accuracy diminishing with every further movement ahead, fans’ displeasure rose to an all-time high alongside their waning interest.
To halt the slump, Netflix brought in Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, whose Apple TV+ directorial, For All Mankind has earned massive acclaim. He gives plenty of reasons for fans to hope for positive developments as he boasts an impressive resume of handling projects of the caliber of The Witcher, having served as an assistant director in famed outings like Schindler’s List and Saving Private Ryan. Thus, the result would come stark clear with filming for the fourth season expected to start in April.
