It is saddening for all Henry Cavill fans not to see him as Geralt of Rivia after season 3 of The Witcher. However, before the British actor leaves the show, there is still something he would like all his fans to know. It is his undying passion for the character. Ahead of the release of the third season, Cavill and Joey Batey discuss Geralt’s political opinions.

With several characters and real power struggles in the entire Witcher saga, it is so easy to get caught up in political biases. However, in their Tudum interview, The Witcher cast talks about Geralt’s political opinions and how they change as Ciri enters the war. Talking on the topic, the 40-year-old revealed Geralt was extremely neutral in his political opinions. He knew how things would work if he worked for a specific side and believed politics was extremely selfish.

Therefore, Geralt refuses to join a specific side. However, Joey Batey has a specific term to describe Geralt’s political opinions. He said people were the real monsters. “There’s something quite Batman-like about it,” said Batey and elaborated by sharing Geralt’s political views were “above the political machinations of the world.” Batman never chooses a side but still does what is right to save the world. In the same way, Geralt also does what is right to fight the monsters and save the Continent.

However, there is a catch here. Because Geralt has a Child of Surprise, Ciri. To save her, as the Enola Holmes actor revealed, Geralt’s perception would change on many things. Does that mean his political views will also change? Only time will answer the question.

But the upcoming season would certainly see a lot of difficulties for Geralt in his attempts to save Ciri.

As Joey Batey spoke in the interview, the political atmosphere will be tense in the upcoming season. He also referred to the original book and added despite a lot of tensions, the third season was fairly representative of the events in the books. Although their discussion also brought in the question: Will Geralt’s neutral political views change?

The third season of the Netflix Original will see a thrilling journey of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia for the last time. Certainly, he will have a lot of difficulties. Because of this, as the showrunner, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich promised, Geralt will get the most heroic send-off. If Batey has compared Geralt with Batman, it is not news that Batman also faced a lot of hardships in his endeavors to save the people he loved the most. Therefore, it is inevitable for Geralt as well.
