Ahead of ‘Stranger Things’ 5, Its Prequel Play’s Young Cast Is Buzzing to Set Off Their ”4D” Show

With its supernatural intrigue and nostalgic 80s references, Netflix’s Stranger Things became one of the most beloved series to be churned out by the streaming mogul. Now, the OTT mogul is adding a dash of context to the chart-topping series with a theatrical performance that is scheduled to make a premiere on 14th December. Here to unlock the story of pre-Upside Down Hawkins, the forthcoming production titled Stranger Things: The First Shadow, has unveiled its complete ensemble of characters.

Meanwhile, the actors who will portray the beloved characters are as excited as those lining up to catch the spectacle. 

Isabella Pappas reveals that the audience may smell her co-star

In a clip that was shared to X (formerly known as Twitter) recently, the lead actors of the play spoke about the upcoming production. Well, Isabella Pappas who will portray Joyce, was excited to go to “the roots” of the characters. Then, Oscar Lloyd, who will play ​​James Hopper Jr remarked that it was like “3D” or even “4D” since the audience can smell them. So, Pappas clarified that people will definitely “smell” Lloyd as the three actors burst into laughter. 

Meanwhile, Chris Buckley, who is taking on the task of depicting Bob Newby, remarked that it had been a “joyful experience” for him. All three actors that will portray the young versions of these characters certainly looked in high spirits. Considering the intriguing storyline of the play, they were bound to be. As Pappas said, they will be the ones who get to “set up the relationships that the show has featured so far!

Well, not only will they set the stage for their characters’ backstories but could also drop some hints about the upcoming season.

When Netflix first announced Stranger Things: The First Shadow in 2022, the show’s large fanbase wondered what topics the theater version of the story would cover. Now, the official website has declared that the play will center around the “beginning” of the series saga, and could also “hold the key to the end” of the story. As fans know, the fifth season is going to be the last season of the show.
