Ahead of Netflix’s Action Packed ‘Lift’, Kevis Hart Reveals He Has a ‘Secret’ Chat Group With Action Legend Tom Cruise
Before Kevin Hart transformed into a fitness inspo for millions, he was the goofy comedian who only flexed his funny muscles. While he is still efficient in doing the latter, his bulging physique has also become central to his personality. With the physical improvements came his entry into the action comedy universe through flicks like Central Intelligence, Ride Along, The Man from Toronto and many more. His latest work in this genre is Netflix’s Lift, whose premiere he attended yesterday.
At this premiere, the comedy virtuoso uncovered a secret society of action heroes like Tom Cruise that communicate through a group chat.

While speaking to People magazine at Lift’s premiere, the Hart to Heart host spilled the beans on the luminaries in his secret clubhouse of action maestros, quite possibly as a joke. The list began with his Hollywood BFF and frenemy Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. However, some surprise appearances included Tom Cruise, Jackie Chan, Harrison Ford, Jet Li and his Me Time co-star Mark Wahlberg.
As he went down this list of “all the biggest guys”, Hart was worried about the repercussions of revealing all this. The 44-year-old explained that he could “get in a lot of trouble” with them because he “shouldn’t be talking” about it. While it is unclear how much of it is true, he also shed light on the topic of their discussions being “action stories” and staying in “sync” with each other.
The possibly imaginary chat must be buzzing with hype over Hart’s upcoming Lift then. Here is what fans can expect from it.

With only 3 days till its release, Netflix’s Lift has so far marketed itself as a quintessential heist movie with elements of Kevin Hart-flavored comedy. Its trailer hints at the tale of a seasoned heist master (Hart) joining hands with the FBI to assist them in stealing a Boeing 777 plane mid-flight. The outlandish saga comes with high praise from Hart himself who promised last year that Lift will “hit different”.
Its cast includes a seasoned heist action actress, Úrsula Corberó aka Tokyo from Money Heist. Beside her and Hart, Loki star, Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha-Raw and Avatar’s Sam Worthington also headline the cast. Backed by Hart’s own production company, it is directed by Felix Gary Gray of Straight Outta Compton fame. Judging by Hart’s testimony and its teasers, it looks to be an enthralling watch for action-comedy enthusiasts.
