The Witcher is perhaps one of the most compelling and popular franchises around the world. From an incredibly successful run in novels and video games to one of the most popular TV series, The Witcher has taken the world by storm. Despite spanning over multiple seasons, it seems like there is more story to tell. With so much content available and how popular the show has become, it is no wonder that they have spawned spin-offs. Not long ago, the franchise announced that a new spin-off will be making its way to our screens. And interestingly, there seems to be a new addition to the upcoming spin-off.

After The Witcher:Blood Origin, Netflix announced another spin-off based on the show. The spin-off will take a completely different turn with a new show revolving around Rats. However, amongst the band of criminals, there seems to be a peculiar new addition to the cast. Former Rocky star Dolph Lundgren announced that he would be joining the cast of the upcoming The Witcher project.

While speaking to a Swedish outlet Aftonbladet, and discussing his cancer, surgeries and his work, the actor revealed that he is filming in South Africa for a “new Witcher related series.” 

Despite the fact that the actor confirmed his involvement in the spin-off, it is unclear what role he will play in the upcoming project.

As of late, the show in under production and filming in South Africa, and is titled Riff Raff. Netflix is yet to make an official statement on the announce of the prequel. There also seems to be no report on when the show will make its way to our screens. On the other hand, there seems to be a lot of debate about whether Henry Cavill will feature in the spin-off or not.

What will The Witcher prequel Riff Raff be about?

While there has been no confirmation from the streaming platform about The Witcher’s Riff Raff, multiple theories around the show have surfaced online. As per fan site Redanian Intelligence, the upcoming series will revolve around the lives of six teenage thieves.

Riff Raff explores the skills the teenagers possess as they plan their biggest heist against the most dangerous crime ring in the world. Interestingly, the show will have an interesting crossover with the upcoming third season of The Witcher towards the end.
