A Different World is an American sitcom that aired from 1987 to 1993. The series follows the life of students at Hillman College, a fictional historically black college in Virginia. It was inspired by student life at historically black colleges and universities. Jada Pinkett-Smith was one of the stars of the show and recently had a beautiful reunion with them.

If you love listening to the Set it Off star on her Red Table Talk, she has brought a special episode for you all. The host of the show reunited with the cast of A Different World. They remembered the good old days when they used to work together. Mrs. Smith’s co-stars Jasmine Guy, Dawnn Lewis, Kadeem Hardison, Charnele Brown, Cree Summer, Darryl M. Bell, Ajai Sanders, Glynn Turman, and Karen Malina White joined her. A special member was also on the show who launched Jada’s career: Debbie Allen.
They all talked about how Dawnn Lewis co-wrote the theme song. Lewis talked about how she couldn’t sing the song as it would bring too much attention to her. So, ultimately, Phoebe Snow was invited to sing the song. The cast members also shared exclusive behind-the-scenes stories. They revisited the show by remembering hilarious and emotional memories they all created together. The show didn’t end there. It also had a special message from Marisa Tomei, who is an Oscar-winning actress, along with a message from the Godmother of Soul, Patti LaBelle.
