Season 3 of The Witcher was undoubtedly one of the most hyped projects of the year. We are no strangers to the massive fan base the show enjoys. Moreover, it was Henry Cavill’s last appearance as the Geralt that made the release even more special. Unsurprisingly, the third installment of the series took the world by storm following its release and peaked at the streamer’s charts. However, the excitement was short-lived.

Premiering the last three episodes of the season, the second part of Season 3 was also a hit among the fans. It accumulated nearly 8 million views since its release. However, shortly after Cavill’s run came to an end show witnessed a drop in its ranking. While the fantasy show fell down the charts, Netflix’s Heartstopper climbed up the chart.

However, at the same time, following the release of its second season, Heartstopper saw a sharp growth in its ranking. As per reports by Variety, the teen drama peaked at number 2 as per the latest rankings. Fans were eager to re-enter the world of Nick and Charlie’s love story that recently made its way to our screens on 3rd August. Henry Cavill’s legendary run as Geralt has finally come to an end with Season 3. The decision was a huge shocker for the fans and, unsurprisingly, affected the show severely. Redanian Intelligence previously reported how the fantasy show witnessed a 30 percent drop in its viewership of Season 3 in comparison to Season 2

Season 2 of the show was a huge hit for the fans and garnered a total of 41.8 million views in just the first ten days of its release. However, the latest installment of the series reported 29 million viewers turning in to witness Cavill’s last dance as Geralt. In comparison, there was nearly a 30% drop in the show’s overall viewership. While there could be a handful of reasons, the main one remains to be Henry Cavill’s exit from the show.
