The chart-breaking supernatural comedy horror television series left fans begging for more when its first season aired in November 2022. Clocking in a whopping 341 million hours of views in its first week, the Jenna Ortega-led show stood destined for success. However, a year since its last season, the show’s production had been at a standstill. Yet, Netflix has now set a tentative schedule for filming its season 2 by the end of April 2024.
The show, initially expected to take up filming in fall 2023 in Romania, is a bit behind schedule. Notwithstanding the delays, the show is to wrap up its shoot and productions within eight months. Additionally, initial forecasts put the show’s episode count at eight, with each having a budget of $5 to $7 million. The show will continue right where the first season ended with Ortega’s Wednesday Addams unraveling the truth about her love.
On the other side of the platter, another Netflix show has taken utmost precedence on the slate, with one of its actors sharing the fast-paced updates.
David Harbour reveals how Netflix is placing Stranger Things on priority
Long past its scheduled dates, Stranger Things is the very first production that Netflix has fast-tracked after the strikes. Jim Hopper’s actor, David Harbour, recently shared the updates where he was called on to the set within ten minutes of the strikes being called off. The revelations highlight the priority the show commands. Additionally, news also spilled that the show was to start filming within two weeks from the end of the strikes.

Harbour also teased a mesmerizing performance to come from its entire cast for the concluding season. The claim has come close on the heels of Shawn Levy teasing a “cinematic storytelling” and an unprecedented scale of production. If all the stars line up, then Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven’s climactic face-off against Vecna is about to be nothing short of spectacular.
