Freya Allan made her mark as Ciri in The Witcher, but the actress has a long list of projects to her name. While that may be, it does not deter from the fact that she might always be remembered as the young princess she portrayed. From being rejected to building her own legacy, Allan’s character quickly became one of the most powerful in the show. And even has her own character development arc set for season 4.

The 22-year-old actress, however, once revealed the favorite part of her character before the series even debuted. And while most people would think that it is her courage and bravery, that actually only comes second.

Freya Allan’s favorite part about Ciri from The Witcher

In an interview with Witcher TV back in 2019, Freya Allan opened up about what she loved about playing Ciri in the series. During the round table interview, Allan said that she loved the way the character had been written. The actress went on to talk about the princess’ bravery and courage that she managed to pull from the script she was given. But the highlight for her was that the character’s bravery was shown in a realistic way.

In the interview, Freya Allan continued by saying that while most people may think Ciri had to lack emotions to be brave, Ciri’s emotions depicted the opposite. She said that even with all the “grieving and horrific situations, ” her character refused to let that weigh her down. The actress also mentioned her favorite part about portraying the character, which was that “she’s a really brilliant character for girls to see.”

While that was back in the first season, the character has come a long way with her development. From being a meek little girl to rejecting her magical abilities, the changes from the first to the third season have left fans in awe of Freya Allan’s character.

Ciri’s character growth in The Witcher

After 3 successful seasons, The Witcher season 4 lost Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivera but gained not only Liam Hemsworth but Ciri’s character arc. So far, Ciri was just a witcher-in-training, but now she seems to have taken on a bigger chunk of responsibility. While most of the third season saw her hiding, viewers also got to see her go on solo adventures.

From starting the show as a princess, fans watched as the young princess was captured at the end of season 3. But while that may make for a great fourth season, fans have no doubt that they will get to see Ciri take on more as she slowly builds confidence in herself. However, with all the rumors, it is claimed that the show’s next season might arrive around 2025.
