Stranger Things has been on everyone’s mind since Season 4 left the stage with huge cliffhangers. 2023 was supposed to be the year that could have brought fans closer to the ultimate battle. However, things did not fall into place as the creators planned it out for the audiences. Duffer Brothers had to postpone the production of Season 5 to show uniformity with writers, who took to the pickets against production houses. This delay dragged on when they joined the SAG-AFTRA strike for similar reasons. With the delay entering its fourth month, the show has finally got an update.

In his new interview with NME, David Harbour talked about the strike that has been toiling hard on the industry. The actor showed support for the same but was surprised when Duffer Brother shut down production. He continued that the creators will stick to their decision until the writers get the deal. “And I think they’re committed to not shooting until they do reach a deal,” he said.

Despite this delay, the 48-year-old is quite excited about the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. Much like all the fans around the globe, the Hellboy star feels the urge to dwell oneself into it. “That sprint to the finish line that is exciting and almost euphoric to me,” remarked Harbour.

David Harbour has become one of the most beloved actors in horror drama with his character Jim Hopper. Starting from being this heavily drunk cop to becoming the true father figure to Eleven he brought the best out of his role. Now when fans look back at the previous seasons and his remarkable acting, the show is unimaginable without him. However, unlike fans, the actor is indeed ready to say goodbye to the series that brought him immense stardom.

Back in February, Harbour spoke to Discussing Film that they have spent so much time on the show that they might find it difficult to leave. But it is certainly time for them to leave the nest and try new things that would bring new experiences.
