With almost two decades in the acting industry, Henry Cavill has proved that he is capable of doing anything and everything. Be it a superhero with a red cape or a Witcher with a heavy sword, there is nothing we can put past the actor’s radar. More precisely, Cavill is the go-to man for any role that requires superhuman strength given his swoon-worthy body. Furthermore, it seems like all the big franchises have their eyes on Henry Cavill.

Reports of Henry Cavill being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, House of the Dragons, and James Bond have over time gained momentum as strong as Geralt’s sword. And in the wake of these speculations, Henry Cavill is being eyed for another major role. The makers of Warcraft 2 have said that Henry Cavill would make the perfect Arthas.

Why Henry Cavill is the perfect Arthas?

Before you disregard this thinking that this is just another talented Henry Cavill fan imagining him in another iconic role, we would like to stop you. All the rumors of Henry Cavill as Arthas did start from a fanart made by an Istambul-based graphic designer named Mustafa Kemal Sezeroğlu. He created a Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King poster starring Henry Cavill as Arthas.

The poster seems to have taken inspiration from Cavill’s ripped structure in The Witcher on Netflix and was mind-blowing. Not only did it get Warcraft and Henry Cavill fans’ imaginations running wild but it also peeked the attention of Christin Golden, Anna Stickney, and most importantly Chris Metzen. For those of you who do not keep up with the geniuses behind the screen, Chris Metzen is the creator of Warcraft. Chris was not subtle in showing an interest in Henry Cavill for playing Arthas.

He did not like or comment on a post but straight tweeted that Henry Cavill would be a dreamy Arthas. And no one from the million fans of Warcraft had an objection. After the lukewarm reception of the original Warcraft movie in 2016, a sequel was considered impossible. But in 2020, reports of Legendary Entertainment giving the sequel a green light made rounds.

If there is to be a sequel to the Warcraft movie then it has to feature Henry Cavill as the Lich King. Given that he already knows how to swing his sword after playing the Geralt for three seasons now, there is no better pick for Arthas than Henry Cavill.
