After Marking a Success With Arnold Schwarzenegger, Netflix Brings Back Another Underrated Science Fiction Movie

The realm of movies has seen a paradigm-shifting change with the coming of Netflix. And it only plans to go higher up. With strategically planned moves, the streamer is painting in big bold letters that Netflix is here to stay. And perhaps having the greatest science fiction catalog is also on its list of tasks because after securing the most important character behind the success of science fiction in Arnold Schwarzenegger, the streamer has dropped another masterpiece from 2001.

Netflix has dipped its hands into the vault to bring out an ignored science fiction gem full of multiverses and murder.

The OTT Mogul has a magnification catalog of movies. Not only does it entertain the audience by producing stellar originals, but also brings back timeless movies from the past. Sometimes these are celebrated successes of a past generation. And at other times, they are the resurgence of a rejected box office flop. Its recent addition, The One, a James Wong science fiction directorial in 2001, is a case of both.

When the sci-fi genre was yet to witness its claim to fame with the biggest superhero franchise incorporating the concept of a multiverse into its larger-than-life storytelling, Wong released a movie, headed by Jet Li, that does the same.

It became clear that if given the right plot and direction, Jet Li and Jason Statham are just the actors who can give a blockbuster hit. Much like how Stallone used The One to make his action hit, Netflix has used the movie to further decorate its science fiction catalog. And just like that, it is not only adding Schwarzenegger’s old movies to its catalog but also those that helped paved the way.
