Just a few weeks ago, it came to be known that the creators have dipped their hands into science fiction’s arguably most popular work and signed Linda Hamilton as a cast member. And as if that were not enough, the flagship Netflix show has now added Oscar winner Jodie Foster to its list of acclaimed actors as per Giant Freaking Robot. It is unclear if the show plans to ride Foster’s coattails to earn an Oscar badge, but definitely plausible.
With the addition of an actor as versatile as Jodie Foster to the series, the possibilities become endless. Foster is just as acclaimed for her mischievous roles as she is as a morally right character.

Stranger Things is the only show to rise up to the ranks after the highly anticipated True Detective Season 4 that managed to impress Foster. The scope of speculation knows no bounds following this cast addition, akin to how the expectations for the upcoming season have no limit.
