Whether it is a family infested with traumatic memories or a love story cloaked by ghosts, his work has always managed to attract the attention of people. Now the streamer is once again ready to bring another project that bloomed under his wings.

Netflix Canada has dropped the trailer of The Fall of the House of Usher on X. The 16-second video alarmed the fandom of Mike Flanagan about something spine chilling coming their way soon. It showed a woman hiding behind the shadows and a hideous mask that will fall on October 12.

So far, the 45-year-old has given three horror tales to the company The Haunting on Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass. Seeing this diverse and cohesive portfolio created by him, fans can imagine what he might have stored in the box this time. The series was first announced two years ago and boasts a huge cast having many familiar faces from his previous projects.

It includes Carla Gugino, Carl Lumbly, Rahul Kohli, Henry Thomas, Samantha Sloyan, and Sauriyan Sapkota among others. This news has come only days after the astounding success of big-screen makeovers of Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep. Like most of his adaptations, the upcoming drama also taken this story from a renowned writer.

The Fall of the House of Usher is a wicked horror show based on the short story of Edgar Allan Poe. This eight episode series will follow two ferocious siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher. It depicts this duo who build a wealthy empire with their company named Fortunato Pharmaceuticals. However, their privileged and luxurious world takes a devilish turn when the heirs of their family get murdered by a mysterious woman from their past.

In his forever fashion, Flanagan has put a modern twist to the classic story of the famous author. For instance, Fortunato is taken from the character’s name in The Cask of Amontillado. So fans should tighten their seat belts to the unsettling world of this filmmaker for the last time before he moves on to bigger things.
