After Dropping Hints at Tudum Event, Netflix Tudum Just Released the First Look of the Cast of ‘Rebel Moon’
Netflix has partnered up with one of the best directors to take us on a space-like journey, with not just one but two parts. The first part of the Rebel Moon is all set to hit our theatres on December 22. Zack Snyder is not only taking over the directorial gig but has also co-written the film. Having been behind some worldwide favorites like Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel, this epic space-opera fantasy film will definitely be a Snyder blockbuster too.
And to keep fans upbeat, Netflix Tudum just dropped a guide and a new look of the cast in the sci-fi epic movie.

To give you some context, the story will follow a peaceful colony residing at the edge of the galaxy. Facing troubles from their enemies, a strange stranger living in the peaceful colony is set to be their saving grace. The lead will go on to further assemble a similar force of fighters and save the galaxy from destruction. This strange stranger, who happens to be mysterious and their saving grace, is going to be played by Atomic Blonde’s Sofia Boutella. Charlie Hunnam’s role will be helping Kora with his world-class freighter.
Deadpool’s Ed Skrein is Imperium’s will enforcer, and Guardians of the Galaxy’s Djimon Hounsou is the one who works for the said Imperium. Duffy and Staz Nair seem to be paired up in the picture, the former being a refugee and the latter having an affiliation with a mysterious flying object. Sense8’s Doona Bae, who is a cyborg, is an experienced sword master and seems to be one out of two to have a sci-fi elemental resemblance in Tudum’s First Look. The other one is Thor’s Anthony Hopkins, an ancient robot knight. And lastly, Ray Fisher will play the role of launching guerilla attacks.
Here is what more we can expect from Rebel Moon.

Zack Snyder and the team attended the TUDUM event in Brazil, where Snyder talked about him releasing director cuts for most of his movies. He also told Vanity Fair about his plans of releasing two cuts for Rebel Moon, too. While the first one will be light-hearted, the second cut will be strictly meant for adults. This director’s cut will release at a later date.
With an enormous budget of $166 million, Rebel Moon has spent apparently three decades in making. The prospect of having this ensemble and fantasy adventure come in more parts than one makes it more exciting.
