After Denzel Washington, Netflix Brings Florence Pugh and Harry Styles Starrer Psychological Thriller to Streaming
Netflix is exhibiting variable emotions on the table now. While on one hand, SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes have halted production of any new movies or shows, it has been rejoicing in the success of its latest release One Piece. However, the eight-episode binge-able watch was not enough to satisfy its massive user base. As such, the streaming giant is looking at ways to expand its collection of movies. In its latest attempts to freshen up its shelves, it has brought over Florence Pugh and Harry Styles’ mind-bending thriller.
The latest addition comes mere days after Netflix added a period drama from Denzel Washington, Fences, to its repertoire. As such, Pugh’s movie will offer a wildly different experience to the audience than Washington’s.

Ahead of the SAG-AFTRA strike pushing and stopping the release of massive projects, Netflix is set on a path to bring oldies to its platform. And such a flick that is streaming on the giant is Don’t Worry Darling starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles. Set in the 1950s, it was directed by Olivia Wilde. The movie revolves around the themes of Style and Pugh playing Jack and Alice, who live in Victory, which houses men working on top-secret projects.
Meanwhile, Alice and the other ladies of the town indulge in all sorts of luxuries, tom-foolery and hoopla. The resulting chaos creates a psychological whodunnit of sorts for the husbands to figure out. Additionally, the movie takes the audience on a ride along the lines of thoughts of what is moral and rationally immoral. This makes, Don’t Worry Darling, an astounding watch for those looking for thrills of edge-of-the-seat drama.
While Netflix continues adding released movies to its slate, its own movies now hang at a loss of fate.

Netflix has been wading itself through turbulent waters as there seems to be no resolution for the ongoing strikes. The twin WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes have brought studios and their productions to a grinding halt. Netflix shows such as Cobra Kai, Stranger Things, The Sandman, and Emily In Paris, have all been staring at delays and losses owing to the strikes.
From better pay and compensation to regulation of AI and digital likeness, the union’s strikes are pretty reasonable as per most of Hollywood. Additionally, Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and several other Hollywood heavyweights have laid their support to the unions. Therefore, the onus has now been on the AMPTP to agree to the demands of the writers and actors to avoid the risk of further delays.
