Netflix is really testing anime and gaming fans while trying to impress them. The OTT platform is adding variety to its genre, tapping into the fantasy market by bringing live-action shows and anime. In recent years, Arcane was picked up for production. They have now moved to yet another franchise that also had a game in its name. The Arcane anime has received pretty good reviews, but skepticism is already high about adaptations like One Piece even before release.

Amidst the strike and halting of its other projects, Netflix is rumored to be making anime based on the ‘Dark Souls’ game. It was created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and is a role-playing game series, with monsters and morbid themes, known for its difficulty levels. The game first launched in 2011 with the titular name and came up with several parts in the following years.

Netflix has really dipped its hands deep into the anime genre. While some fans welcome it, others do not appreciate their favorite games and manga being touched. One fan compared it to the 2017 Castlevania anime picked from the gaming series. It received amazing reviews, so this one is expected to be either very good or very bad.

One fan is sure of the platform failing at the anime. But another one replied, stating how the criticism was not valid because anime like Edgerunner and Arcane have proved to be successful. But many others are skeptical and unhappy over the OTT potentially ruining it.

Then there are those demanding a live-action show instead, to see the glory, twisted darkness of the game come alive.
