If you haven’t been living under a rock, then you probably know that Extraordinary Attorney Woo is the most popular Korean drama right now. It’s not only breaking the records in its home country but also doing the same globally. Initially, the drama got no buzz since it was airing on a new unknown cable channel ENA, but a well-told story will always have viewers. Thanks to the hit drama, the most buzzing actor right now is Kang Tae Oh, who plays the male lead in the heartwarming series. He recently shared his thoughts on the drama and his impending military enlistment.
Kang Tae Oh feels “grateful” for the overwhelming love from fans
Kang plays Lee Joon Ho, who develops a crush on Woo Young Woo. He is always kind and nice to her, and fans have fallen for his irresistible charms. And he’s well aware of the attention he’s receiving.
“Each episode has a variety of incidents, and I felt exhilarated by the characters growing within those [events]. Thanks to the popularity of the work, I’ve heard that there’s a lot of talk about me on social media and YouTube. Some people have been watching my old projects that I have filmed with affection. I’m really grateful,” he said.
This is his last drama before he enlists in the military. He further reassured his fans, “Due to this drama, I’m so glad that I can confidently say ‘I’ll be back safely.’ I feel more reassured than disappointed.”
Is Extraordinary Attorney Woo getting a season 2?
The Korean drama spent six weeks on Netflix’s non-English TV top charts. It has entered the most watched list at number #8. Due to the incredible numbers, producer Lee Sang Baek is hoping to produce Extraordinary Attorney Woo season 2 with the same cast in 2024. But with Kang’s military enlistment and their conflicting schedules, it is going to be a real challenge! We hope that everything works out and get our cuties back on our screen sooner than later!
