The Netflix’s hit series, Stranger Things, may have shot to fame as soon as it reached the platform. But over the years, the hype may have died a little. While that may be true, with the final season coming up, fans will get to see their favorite characters one last time before they go their own ways. But with the slew of updates about the season that fans received, a recent one from Netflix revealing their shipped couple may have caused a bit of a stir in the fandom.

While fans may have fallen in love with the Stranger Things characters, Eleven and Mike, at the beginning of the series, it is evident that some of the fans have changed their minds about “Mileven” over time. A post from Netflix’s official Instagram surprised followers when they featured Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard’s characters on a post about “what real love is.”

Once fans actually went through the carousel post, they came across scenes from various Netflix shows, and one among them was Stranger Things, who recently gave their fans a taste straight out of Hawkins. The post also featured stills from Queen Charlotte, One Piece, Heartstopper, and more. But one thing stayed the same in each frame. And that was the fact that the characters in the spotlight were holding hands. Netflix also captioned the post with, “if the love isn’t this, keep it.”

After the rather cryptic post, fans immediately took to the comments section to share what they thought about Netflix’s Stranger Things subtle ship.

Stranger Things fans torn over whether they ship Mileven

Recently, a post on Instagram revealed that which Stranger Things couple Netflix shipped for the first time. And while they probably expected more of a happy reaction from fans of the show, that is not what they ended up receiving. Instead, the streaming giant ended up getting a few comments on how they had chosen the wrong couple from the series with comments like, “not y’all putting mike and el when byler is RIGHT THERE 😭 also pay your writers who actually make the decision of who’s actually gonna be endgame and who literally writes the show 😭😭,” and “You should’ve put mike and will.”

While most fans immediately rushed the comments section to share their excitement about being right about the endgame couple, others took a moment to share their thoughts on who should have made the cut by saying, “Should have been that seen from S2 of st when he held wills hand that real love going crazy together.” Some fans that shipped the couple even stated, “of course mileven defines it perfectly we have good taste.” While others took to their weird chants, “MILEVEN MILEVEN MILEVEN MILEVEN MILEVEN MILEVEN MILEVEN FOREVER !!!! THE BEST COUPLE EVER.”
