Netflix has far more depth as a content creator than it has as a licensed media aggregator. Over the years, the platform has given life to numerous pop culture celebrated franchises like Stranger Things, The Witcher, and The Sandman. The last of which became one of its most well-received drama adaptations as its eleven episodes of the first season made way for true binge-watching. Now, two years later, developments of the positive nature have come forth for its second season.

“Lucifer is waiting for Morpheus” – What to Expect From ‘The Sandman’ Season 2?

The second season of The Sandman will probably look to continue the merits of the first, which gave it its acclaim in the first place.

How Netflix’s The Sandman became a resonating hit

Based on the 1989–1996 comic book by Neil Gaiman, The Sandman followed the character of Morpheus or Dream. Along these lines, it also personified the other endless entities such as Death, Desire, and Despair. A striking balance between maintaining narrative consistency while managing to bring the complex themes involved in them to life gave the show its breathing span and enough acclaim to have Netflix renew the show for a second season.

Another major part where The Sandman excelled came in the form of maintaining accuracy to the lore. Unlike The Witcher, whose deviations gave the show rock-bottom lows, the first season of the Dirk Maggs directorial did complete justice and gave the expansive universe ample life with a visual and narrative flair justified along with its underlying trope of cultural relevance.
