Streaming giant Netflix churns out numerous shows in a year with new and unique storylines, but any powerhouse is incomplete without the adaptations of the classics. Ready to revisit the vintage with a modern touch, Netflix is bringing Little House on the Prairie back to the screens. Widely loved and celebrated as the cult classic, the Ingalls are again ready to dazzle the audience with their old-world charm and heartwarming characters.

A casting call has been made, and producers are in deep search of finding the right face and talent who could justify the roles. According to What's on Netflix, a deadline of 4th April has been given, and young actresses could submit their audition videotapes for the role of Laura Ingalls.
To know who exactly will be portraying the celebrated characters, the fans would have to wait a bit more. Surely the watch will be worth the wait as fans will get to meet all the fresh characters upon the release.
Release date of Little House on the Prairie
As much as the fans love to see the American classic soon, although they are a bit skeptical about it, they have to exercise some patience as Netflix has yet to put a date on it. With the role calls still going on it is understandable that they have not announced a date for the show's release. But the producers are more than pumped to bring the show to life.
It is being helmed by executive producer and showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine who credits the book as inspiration for becoming a filmmaker. More executive producers on the show will be Susanna Fogel, Joy Gorman Wettels, Dana Fox, and others.
What we currently know is the heart warming story that taught an entire generation for a decade is ready to make fans nostalgic once again.
What is the storyline of Netflix's modern adaptation?
The original story is set in 1869 and follows the Ingalls family's life-changing move from Wisconsin to Montgomery County, Kansas. It showed the challenges of settling in a new territory and how it affected every aspect of the family's life.

According to Trip Friendly, the show will be “about family, community, and survival to longtime fans and new generations”. Amd sources also claim that this rendition will be different from the television version and more suitable for 21st-century audiences.
