As the third season of The Witcher comes closer, anticipation over its plot has kept fans on their toes. This will be the last season that casts Henry Cavill in the lead before he is replaced by Liam Hemsworth. But this will also be the season that brings a turning point for each of its characters. Along with action sequences, love will probably bloom for both Geralt and Jaskier.

While some know him as Jaskier, others know him as Dandelion. The character often joins the titular hero for his adventures as seen from the first two seasons. The singing character has added great entertainment relief so far. But actor Joey Batey hints at some upcoming romance for the character.

Who could Dandelion be paired up with for season 3 of The Witcher?

Each cast member of The Witcher has been teasing fans with different theories as the season release nears. While much is not revealed, a rough idea helps quench the impatience of thirsty fans, courtesy of Jaskier. According to Decider, Joey Batey dropped hints about his character during a press release. “There’s perhaps a little bit of romance?” he said.

For the colorful character of Jaskier/Dandelion, there were rumors of Prince Radovid trying to be flirty with the character as seen in audition tapes. Although there is no saying if the plot will come to life or Jaskier will even respond to the advances.

The book source also paired him with Countess de Stael, who was supposed to appear in season 2. But the character was later scrapped and is yet to be explored. Another love interest could be Duchess Anna Henrietta of Toussaint. Although the story has not reached the point of introducing her yet.

Then again, the series is known for often drifting away from the original source. Even Dandelion was renamed as Jaskier to suit his personality as the translated polish meaning was deemed unfit.

A look into what Season 3 of the Netflix show could bring

Joey Batey has promised some of the biggest sequences from Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels in season 3. Creator Lauren Schmidt Hissrich has also promised a loving reconnect between Yennefer and Geralt after she loses his trust in the previous season. Although the truth, each of these love connections will only come out as the episodes begin to release. Season 3 of The Witcher will drop on Netflix on 29th June 2023.
