It seems like this tradition has even transcended the atmosphere of planet earth, as even fan-favorite scientist, the 60-year-old Doctor Who is aware of this custom. He along with the British actor, Henry Cavill, has apparently pulled the best practical joke of the year (until it is not)

Doctor Who will be reportedly celebrating his 60th anniversary this year and he has selected the most handsome earthling to rejoice it with. One of the fan sites of the age-old show reported a press release that states that Henry Cavill, who has dedicated his flesh and bone to DCEU’s Superman and Netflix’s Geralt of Rivia and now remains with none, will join the cast of the BBC series as the new master. Yes! Cavill will be the brand-new chief rival of the Doctor.

The news further covered Cavill’s statement about his new role wherein he says that he is not only “excited” but “honored” to work with Doctor Who, prominently because it is a British Institution. Furthermore, showrunner Russell Davies also added, “Henry is going to be super in every way! We can’t wait for him to witcher us away to new heights of villainy in the Doctor Who universe!”

He further praised him to be an incredible actor with a fantastic range and shared his excitement to see the Enola Holmes actor bring his unique take on the role.
