The most foreseeable theory apparently depicts Geralt’s unbelievable loss of battle against Vilgefortz. According to the theories, the handsome Witcher will become not so handsome whilst his face is bashed in the battle and later on is worked upon by the healing magics of dryads of Brokilon to surface upon as Liam Hemsworth. Now, it seems like it will just remain a theory.
According to Redanian Intelligence, the fight is still intact in The Witcher season 3 episode 6, however; the dryads will heal his smeared face by the end of season 3, and he will already be gone to rescue his Child Surprise once again.
Meanwhile, showrunners have hinted a little about how this upheaval will take place.

While all of this suggests that Geralt will already be on the run in season 4, just not as the British actor, we still do not know how the Hunger Games actor come into the picture. In an earlier interview, the show’s executive producers hinted that they have everything sorted. According to them, not only will the upcoming seasons be more “lore accurate,” but they have a very good plan to introduce the new White Wolf, or the new manacle of the same old one to the least.
Producer Tomek Baginski apparently said he thinks that “it will be flawless,” further hinting that the whole act of metamorphosis will be close to the “meta ideas” of the books, specifically that of book 5.
