There is only a hand full of actors that the entire world loves unanimously, actors that can literally rule our hearts with a mere word out of their mouth and a smile. And one such actor is the Spider-Man of MCU, Tom Holland. The British actor has been the apple of all of our eyes ever since we first saw him in 2017 donning the alluring red spandex suit. And today, the actor celebrates his 26th birthday; yet again making us question his ability to play a teenager with such brilliance.
Well, there are a lot of things that we may know about the characters he plays, but there are fewer things that people know about him. Hence, here are 5 things that you must know about the Spider-Man actor as he steps into yet another year of utter brilliance in his life.

Well, not many people know this, but Tom Holland holds the Guinness World Record for being the youngest actor in a titular role for a movie in the MCU. Holland was just 20 years and 123 days old when he completed the filming of Spider-Man: Homecoming. The film was released back in 2017, and today the British actor has a Spider-Man trilogy for his name; something not even Andrew Garfield has, not to mention potential future projects in the MCU.
Another feat that Tom boasts of is making it to Forbes 30 under 30 list. In 2019, Holland made it to the lost when he was 22 years old. By that time, he had established himself as one of the most talented young actors and deservingly was mentioned on the list. Along with him, Florence Pugh was also on the list, who will later join the actor in MCU as Yelena Belova. Another familiar name on the list is Peaky Blinders and Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor Joy.

A big reason they selected Holland for the role of Peter Parker was his gymnastic skills. The actor revealed he somersaulted in and out of the frame while auditioning. Joe Russo even confirmed this while talking about it to Entertainment Weekly. He is also a trained ballet dancer, something for which they bullied him a lot. He shared, “To a bunch of 10-year-olds who all play rugby, Tom Holland doing ballet in the gym isn’t that cool.”
While many may try to hide their shortcomings, the Chaos Walking is one of those people who wear them on their sleeves. Hence, when it comes to his diagnosis of dyslexia, we see that he is pretty open about it. In 2021 he appeared on an 11-year-old reporter, Jazlyn Guerra’s show, “Jazzy’s World.”

The young reporter asked many amazing questions. One of them was about the impact of dyslexia on his career. Holland gave an exquisite answer for it. Tom Holland said, “It’s just about taking your time. The better prepared you are for anything, the more you will be able to do and accomplish things that are fantastic.”
Yeah, that is actually true. Or beloved Spider-Man was almost ready to take up carpentry in case acting didn’t work out for him. His mother had signed him up for carpentry school as many of their family members were carpenters and it seemed like the right thing to do. Holland still auditioned for a couple of movies after joining the school, the last of which was MCU’s Captain America: Civil War. According to him, he was still in his class when he got the news about his selection for the role.
