Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are one of the most loved couples in Hollywood. The couple’s tuning is perfect too. Even after so many ups and downs in their 25-year-long marriage, this couple still stands firm. However, Jada has taken a break from acting. They have done quite a few films together. And the couple got widely covered after the Slapgate incident that happened during the Oscars 2022. But, do you remember the time, when both of them co-hosted the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in the year 2009?

The concert happened about 13 years ago in Oslo. The prize distribution ceremony happened on December 9, 2009, and the concert happened two days later on 11. Want to take a rough guess who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009? It was none other than America’s beloved former president Barack Obama. But how did the Smiths react to this opportunity?

How did Jada and Will Smith feel when presented with the offer?

Back then, Will Smith was ruling the industry with his back-to-back hits. Bad Boys, Ali, Men in Black, and Pursuit of Happiness were some of the films which gave Will international stardom. Apart from that, he was still known as a rapper. Both of them were very excited about contributing to an event that promotes world peace.

Will and Jada Smith, in a joint statement, said, “We are both humbled and honored to take part in the Nobel Peace Prize Concert this year.” For them, it was an “awe-inspiring” moment. The motive of the event was to spread the message of World Peace and celebrate the prize laureate, Barack Obama.

Not just that, but Will and Jada performed on the stage with both of their kids, Jaden and Willow Smith. It was a surprising moment for both guests and the audience all over. They were joined by other singers who performed that night.

The show featured singers like Wyclef Jean and Toby Keith. Other singers who participated in the event were Donna Summer and Luis Fonsi. The song that they covered was a rendition of popstar Michael Jackson’s hit, Man In the Mirror. Overall it was mesmerizing even that people will remember it after years.
