After Sabrina Carpenter’s A Nonsense Christmas, Beyoncé’s NFL Halftime Show brought a white Christmas for Netflix subscribers. With its entry in live-streaming sports events, all eyes were on the NFL Christmas party this December 25, and safe to say, Netflix painted the streaming town red, pulling over a whopping 27 million viewers during the halftime show. According to Deadline, the Baltimore Ravens’ victory against Houston Texas earned an average minute audience of 24.3 million viewers.
The viewership peaked during the halftime show, making it the most-watched Christmas Day NFL game on record since 2001. Neilsen’s Live+ Same Day statistics revealed a gridiron grand slam with the Chiefs-Steelers and Ravens-Texas games capturing an unbeatable 64 million viewers. The halftime performance by Beyoncé managed to secure a larger audience for the second game, with the Chiefs’ winning match against the Steelers drawing 24.1 million viewers.
While Netflix has been sending fans on cloud nine with its festive library this year, the NFL halftime show eclipsed expectations with a special cameo during Beyoncé’s segment.
Beyoncé’s NFL Christmas Halftime Show on Netflix had an unexpected cameo
Since Netflix clicked on the festive refresh button this time, the frenzy has been unparalleled, and for good reason. Beyoncé’s NFL Christmas Halftime Show on Netflix began like a white Christmas party with the pop star channeling the binaries of the festive hour in classic Texas style. Riding a white horse, Queen Bey took center stage with ‘16 Carriages’ and Beatles ‘Blackbiird’ cover. However, the real showstopper was Blue Ivy Carter’s cameo, joining in during a dance choreography with her mother.

“It’s only right that we do ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ for the first time in Houston, Texas on Christmas,” Beyoncé stated before performing her country album’s lead single. Although Jay-Z was not there to make the show a full family house party, Shaboozey, and Post Malone joined her for a star-studded Christmas. Thus, given the starship summoned by Netflix, it is no wonder its subscribers had a Merry Christmas indeed.
