On a recent episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Josh Horowitz and Heartstopper actor Kit Connor took a deep dive into Warfare, his latest action film, recently released on April 11. Zeroing in on the talented ensemble of young stars, including Charles Melton, Cosmo Jarvis, and Joseph Quinn, the host asked whether the Netflix star was anxious working with a room full of people in similar stages of fame. To everyone’s surprise, Connor confessed to being overwhelmed with the “classic sort of uh impostor syndrome.”
As the youngest in the group, Connor explained he was not only nervous, but fearful about things that could go wrong. Although Warfare helped his artistic growth, much like Romeo + Juliet, he was worried whether he was deserving enough to be able to step up with his equally skilled co-stars. However, the anxiety only lasted until he was on the way to the hotel before the first day of the boot camp.
Kit Connor could not exactly pinpoint the reasons behind his fears. However, he left a crumb or two of why it suddenly took a backseat.
What comforted Kit Connor with the Warfare jitters?
In his conversation on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Kit Connor shed light on the worries he had before starting his journey on Warfare. He recalled the first day with his co-stars at the hotel, where they stopped for the next two months of filming, and spent hours getting to know each other before shaving their heads that night. Connor realized soon enough that his co-stars were really “cool” and had the feeling that they would get along with each other.

By then, Connor understood that it would be a one-of-a-kind experience that would stick with him for a long time. Sure, the opportunity came with its fair share of angst and apprehension for the Hollywood starlet. However, observing his love for the crew, his praises for the castmates, it surely seems like Connor would not have preferred it in any other way.
